Research Project

An original investigation carried out under the supervision of a specialist (in the relevant area) appointed by the Department. The course is aimed at inculcating in the student the investigative approach to science. Emphasis is placed on advancing a hypothesis, experimental planning, data presentation, and validity of conclusion in the light of data presented. The findings of the research are presented by the student at a departmental seminar. The project is written up in the form of a scientific report, bound and submitted by the student for evaluation by the department and, is defended in a viva voce before an External Examiner.
