Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) for Six (6) Months

Students are expected to go for a six (6) months Industrial Attachment after the 300 Level First Semester Examinations during which they will be exposed to on-hand and real life practical experiences in areas related to their field of study. They will also during this period be supervised by Lecturers in the Department and, at the end of the exercise; the students will present a Seminar and a Report on their experiences to the Department which will be assessed/graded as the result for Second Semester 300 Level.     

Industrial experience could be in any one of the following fields;

·       Fisheries and Hydrobiology

·       Wildlife Management

·       Biology of Aquatic Environment/Pollution

·       Entomology

·       Animal and Public Health

·       Biotechnology

·       Pest control

·       Silviculture and Afforestation

·       Environmental Science
