About the Bursary
The Bursary Department of Federal University Wukari is responsible for the financial administration of the University. It ensures prudent management of funds, adherence to accounting standards, and compliance with government financial regulations. The Bursar, Mr. Umaru Taimako, serves as the Chief Financial Officer, providing strategic leadership in financial planning and control.

Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for efficient resource allocation.
Expenditure Control
Monitoring and controlling expenses to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Accounts Management
Maintaining accurate records of all University income, expenditure, and assets.
Financial Reporting
Preparing financial statements and periodic reports for transparency and accountability.

Budget & Planning Unit
Head: Mr. Adewale Johnson
Responsible for the preparation and management of the University’s annual budget, ensuring proper planning and allocation of financial resources.
Expenditure Control Unit
Head: Mrs. Grace Ibe
Ensures that all expenditures conform to approved budgets and financial regulations, monitoring disbursement processes for accountability.
Final Accounts Unit
Head: Mr. Olanrewaju Peter
Prepares the University’s annual financial statements, coordinates audits, and ensures compliance with reporting standards.
Payroll & Pensions Unit
Head: Mrs. Chika Okon
Manages payroll processing, pension deductions, and staff benefit payments, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement.
Audit & Compliance Unit
Head: Mr. Sunday Akpan
Ensures adherence to financial policies and procedures through regular audits and compliance checks across all financial operations.
