History of the Department of Computer Science
The Department of Computer Science at Federal University Wukari was established to provide quality education, research, and innovation in the rapidly evolving field of information and communication technology. From its inception, the Department has focused on equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to address real-world computing challenges.
Initially offering undergraduate programs in Computer Science, the Department has steadily grown in scope and capacity, expanding its curriculum to reflect global trends in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, and emerging technologies. Over the years, it has built a reputation for excellence through dedicated staff, innovative teaching methods, and a commitment to research that addresses local and international needs.

Admission Requirements
UTME
- Five O’level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at SSCE, NECO, GCE or equivalent at not more than two sittings.
D.E
- UTME qualifications plus (i) or (ii).
- At least two A‟ level passes in Mathematics, and any of Physics and Chemistry.
- ND in Computer Science.
