ADMISSION REQUIRMENTS

The following categories of candidates are eligible for admission into the Bachelor of Science, Economics Degree Programme;

UTME

UTME Candidates must possess at least Five (5) O’ Level credit pass which should include; Economics, Mathematics and English Language obtained at not more than two (2) sittings. In addition, candidates must obtain an acceptable pass in University Matriculation Examination. UTME subjects are Economics, Mathematics and one of the following Government, History, Geography, and Literature in English, Christian Knowledge, Accounting and French.

DIRCT ENTRY

Direct entry students must possess any of the following qualifications.

a)  a. First Degree/Higher National Diploma in a relevant field. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of Five (5) O’ Level credit passes including Mathematics, Economics and English Language.

b) b. Diploma in a relevant field, with a minimum of upper credit (i.e CGPA of 3.50 and above). In addition, candidates must have a minimum of Five (5) O’ Level credit passes including Mathematics, Economics and English Language.

c) c. Two A’ Level passes in Economics and any one of the following Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Sciences, Business Management, Computer Science and Government. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of Five (5) O’ Level credit passes including Mathematics, Economics and English Language.

d) d. Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) in Economics. In addition, Candidates must have a minimum of Five (5) O’ Level passes including Mathematics, Economics and English Language.

e) e Note that Direct Entry Students come in 200 levels when favorably considered.
