At the heart of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Federal University of Wukari is an unwavering commitment to excellence in both education and research in the field of chemical engineering. The goal of the Department is to train students that will be able to: apply Engineering Knowledge to the solutions of complex engineering problems; analyze complex engineering problems; design/develop solutions for complex engineering problems that meet specified needs; conduct investigations; use modern tools; commit to professional ethics of engineering practice; function effectively as an individual, and as a member of a team; communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large; demonstrate knowledge and understanding of engineering management and financial principles and have ability to engage in independent and lifelong learning among other attributes.

The Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) program at Federal University Wukari aims to produce well-rounded graduates who will be equipped with the necessary skills to practice chemical engineering as entrepreneurs, industrialists, manufacturers, and elsewhere. We train our graduates to proffer solutions to the industrial needs of various chemical engineering industries, including the petrochemical, chemical, polymer, and pharmaceutical industries; beverage production and food processing; pulp and paper processing; power production; textile production; detergent production; mining and metallurgy; public services; hospital and biomedical engineering; toilets and sewage; industrial standardization; and water resources among others.
